Frequently Asked Questions
Here you may find many Frequently Asked Questions concerning our products, pet urns, memorials, or pet loss and grieving in general.

Q: What is a pet cremation urn?
A: Pet urns are decorative containers designed to hold the cremated remains of your pet.
Q: Am I strange to want to keep my pet's ashes in its own urn?
A: Absolutely not! We hold our pets near and dear to our hearts. When they pass, significant holes are left in our lives. Pet urns and memorials allow us to celebrate their lives and to keep them close to us forever.
Q: I'm not good at math. How do I calculate for and choose the correct size pet urn?
A: No tough math equations here. When choosing an urn for your beloved pet, you'll want to follow the industry standard: 1 pound of body weight typically makes 1 cubic inch of cremains. Thus said, if your pet was 10 pounds, then you would need an urn that could hold at least 10 cubic inches. All of our products indicate the sizes available in their descriptions.
We highly recommend purchasing a pet urn that has a capacity a bit larger than the formula calls for. Occasionally, pet owners choose to place a toy or other sentimental object into the pet urn along with the cremains, which calls for extra volume.
When ordering your pet urn, please consider these average pet weights. These weights assume the pet is in good health and form. You may have to adjust for your individual pet.
• Small dog breeds: 20-30 pounds
• Medium dog breeds: 40-60 pounds
• Large dog breeds: 70-90 pounds
• Very large dog breeds: 100-150 pounds
• Cats: 7-15 pounds
• For horses and other pet breeds, consult the individual product descriptions
Q: How do I place my pet's ashes into the urn?
A: Your pet's ashes will be returned to you in a basic container with a sealed plastic bag inside. Simply remove the plastic bag from the container and transfer it to your beautiful new pet urn. If you find it necessary to repack the remains, be sure to use another plastic bag that has the capacity to create a seal. Be very careful during the transfer.

Q: Can I bury my pet in these pet memorials?
A: Yes, however because our pet urns are of such high quality, people usually elect to display them. Our pet urns are built better than most furniture and can be a great addition to any China closet, display case, or fireplace mantle. Personally, we have set aside a small part of our house where our pets' urns are displayed proudly.
